The Hellbound Heart Bear
So far in the second universe’s first three poems, I have influences
from Lovecraft, Matheson, and now Clive Barker. Since the Care
Bears had only one brief appearance in the first universe, I brought
them back to create a link between the two. While Care Bears in
Bondage was whimsical and kind of fun, by adding Pinhead to the mix,
I made it more dark and sinister.
And of course, I added another all new character of my own creation
to shock even Bondage Bear…the Hellbound Hear Bear. On a side
note, I Google’d Bondage Bear and found at least one other
reference. I posted Care Bears in Bondage on Poemranker several
years ago, so I don’t know if this is parallel creation or if I inspired it.
Either way, she’s no longer the most extreme Care Bear.
